The Temple of Love at Tamera is an inner sanctum for some of the community’s deepest work around love, sexuality, trust, and relationship.

At the heart of Tamera’s social philosophy is the belief that many of our wider cultural crises are bound up with a long history of conflict, fear, domination, and mistrust between men and women, and with the ways those wounds continue to shape intimacy.

The Temple of Love is a place where the community works consciously with these forces. It is not only a space for restoring sacredness to eros and sexuality, but for entering the deeper wounds that arise in love: jealousy, fear, longing, betrayal, shame, possession, and the search for trust. The hope is that healing these patterns can ripple outward, first through individual lives and relationships, then through the community, and perhaps into the wider cultural field.

Within Tamera’s understanding of history, and drawing from certain anthropological and spiritual traditions, ancient cultures sometimes held temples and ceremonial spaces where sexuality and the sacred were not divided, but understood as forces capable of shaping human culture.

This is terrain associated with mystery traditions, sacred sexuality, and teachings that have often remained hidden from public view.

In this short film, we offer a small glimpse inside this unusual and provocative dimension of Tamera: a community experimenting with what might become possible when love itself is treated as a field of cultural transformation.
